RAM has announced the final EPA estimates for its 2013 RAM 1500 HFE truck and once again, the rugged American automaker proves that performance and respectable fuel economy needn't be mutually exclusive. The 2013 RAM 1500 HFE will be able to achieve 15 mpg, city, and 22 mpg, highway all leading to a combined rating of 17.
With RAM releasing the EPA estimated ratings for its sibling model, the RAM 1500 4WD with HEMI and eight-speed transmission, just over a month ago, we at Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Tucson were eager to find out how the 1500 HFE would be rated. The numbers aren't yet available on the official EPA website, but the RAM truck company has announced that they are final, so we'll take its word on that one.
The new RAM truck is an exciting addition to the new RAM lineup. It comes with a rear-wheel drivetrain, heavy-duty 5.7-liter V8 engine and 8-speed automatic transmission, which is right on par with the competitors, like the F-Series. It will certainly be interesting to see how many drivers in Tucson, AZ end up choosing the new RAM truck over others.
