Keeping cool in the summer heat isn't just a task for people and their pets. Your car could use a good cool down during those epic Arizona heat waves, too. Not only is a stuffy vehicle uncomfortable for passengers, the high temperature can wear interior materials -- not to mention what it can do to all that important equipment under the hood. Because we care deeply about our customers' Dodge and Ram vehicles, we wanted to share some summer car care tips to keep your car, truck or SUV running in tip-top shape for many summers to come.

If you blast your car's air conditioning, it's important to have it routinely checked by a mechanic (like the professionals here at Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Tucson!) to ensure it's running properly. If it doesn't work at all, you might have a leak, and that needs to be addressed. You should also have your cabin air filter checked and regularly replaced to ensure that no contaminants are entering your car's cabin and thereby your lungs. If you don't run your A/C at all, well ... you should. A hot car makes for a tired driver, and that's more dangerous than a musty air conditioner.
