What’s new for Ram in 2016?



2016 predicts to be a big year for Ram with the remodel of four of their most popular vehicles, the ProMaster, 1500, 2500, and 3500 Heavy Duty will all see changes from the 2015 models.

 

Starting with the ProMaster, Ram will convert the RV and shuttle with a chrome grill and large room configuration (available with windows). They will also be equipped with electrical performance for upfitters which includes a second battery and the rear of the cab and auxiliary options.

 

The 1500 will receive minor trim changes including increased safety, it will receive a full new center-console design. Besides the Lone Star, Big Horn and Outdoorsman models that are already widely popular, Ram will be adding the Laramie Limited (luxury) and Rebel (off-roading) trims to the 1500 line. Models will feature “RAM” across their updated grilles.

 

Heavy Duty Models which include the 2500 and 3500 will gain massive engine upgrades with the 385-hp, 6.7 liter Cummins diesel, now gaining 900 lbs of torque and a towing capacity of 31,210 pounds. To find out more about the 2500 and 3500 upgrades be sure to check out the Car and Driver article.
