Considering the general geographic location of Tucson, it should be no surprise when Cosmopolitan named Arizona’s best 24-hour restaurant, that it would be a Mexican Restaurant. And why not? There is a myriad of bountiful options when it comes to Tex-Mex eateries. The one that stood out above the crowd however was The Taco Shop Company. 
Already hailed by many as the best alternative to McDonald’s to a late-night craving fix, The Taco Shop Company offers authentic Mexican cuisine that won’t bust the bank.
Since the restaurant has no official website, Yelp and Facebook are the best places to get the low down on what to expect from this local joint. Once you get past the declarations of love for this local joint, you get a pretty good sense of the food, and the general atmosphere.
One Yelper commented that due to its late-night popularity, you should expect a wait if you drop in after midnight. All of us are pretty well aware that the options for sustenance are slim during the late hours of the night, or the wee hours of the morning, so it’s always a little disheartening when you have to wait in line. However, be assured that what you’re waiting for is going to be well worth the time spent in line.
The menu is pretty well laid out with your basic combos that come in 10 basic combos of tacos, enchiladas, tostadas, chimichangas, and other classics all served with a side of beans and rice. We’d say it is always a safe bet to try the beef tacos. You can never go wrong with those.
Although many Yelpers and Facebookers alike have commented on the amount of dripping oil from the taco, we say consider it a sign of great authenticity and chow down! The food in general can best be described as wonderfully satisfying. Who doesn’t love a crispy taco? It is also advisable to have them double wrap any of their burritos. Better to be safe than sorry!
